Wheal Alfred Farm

This was our first centre to include a wind turbine, solar water heating, heat recovery, recycled rainwater for wash-down, laundry and toilet flushing, a sewage treatment plant along with locally sourced timber for the Manager’s log cabin accommodation. This centre demonstrates how this type of specialist facility can be truly considered as a ‘green’ development.

Wheal Alfred Farm is a kennelling facility for both dogs and cats built on a Greenfield site using high performance materials for long life and energy efficiency, but still complimenting the local agricultural vernacular.

Using high-tec state-of-the-art kennelling this gives the animals a quality environment balanced with a long life span and aid in cleaning and maintenance. Incorporating segregation for intake and isolation areas, with pleasant spaces for potential re-homers, visitors and staff in a stress free environment, all helps to improve the animals’ life.

A number of external areas for controlled exercise and an agility barn finished this attractive and functional project.
